Weekly updates (2 May '25)

All updates

This week brings sharper sharing, smarter tables, and more flexible tagging—so you can tailor NEXT to your team’s exact workflow.

Sharing experience now supports in‑text evidence 🎉

When you share highlights or clusters via markdown, NEXT will now inline clickable links to each reference—whether it’s a highlight detail page, cluster overview, or original source. We’ve also improved text formatting so that quotes, code snippets, and line breaks appear just as they do in the app, giving your readers full context without extra steps.

Tables view in Highlights Library shows source & contact 🎉

Ever wondered at a glance where a particular highlight came from or who captured it? We’ve added two new columns—Source (e.g., URL, Jira ticket, Slack channel) and Contact (the team member who created the highlight). If you prefer a cleaner table, simply hide these columns using the column‑visibility menu in the table header.

Type tagging is now optional 🎉

Some teams love our AI‑driven “type” tags (Enhancement Request, Bug, Positive Feedback), while others have their own categorization scheme. Now you can turn off automatic type tagging altogether, or customize the tagging rule to generate the exact labels you need. Flexibility to match your taxonomy, not ours.

Library views now persist your sort order 🎉

Set your preferred sort—”most recent,” “most highlights,” or any other column—and NEXT will remember it every time you revisit the Cluster Library or Highlights table. No more re‑applying the same sort after a page reload, so you can stay focused on the insights that matter most.

Tenants can set custom messages for disabled users 🎉

If an account is deactivated—due to trial expiration or policy—you can now display a bespoke message guiding users on next steps (e.g., how to reactivate or whom to contact). This replaces the generic “access denied” screen and helps reduce confusion when people try to log back in.
